Miele - Stories from our only home
Content series
Miele is a home appliances brand that is known for its long-lasting performance. Most of Miele’s appliances are made to last and work exceptionally and sustainably for up to 20 years. The brand motto ‘Immer Besser’ stands for constant improvement in everything they do - the company is invested in finding sustainable solutions for every stage of their products and services' life cycle. Together with Miele and MediaMonks creative agency, I worked on the content series 'Stories from our only home' to celebrate Miele's collaboration with the leading sustainability advocates and inspire Miele’s customers to do better too. The series was launched on social and Miele’s sustainability website.
Episode 1: Norbert Niederkofler
Norbert Niederkofler is a renowned chef and the author of ‘Cook the Mountain’ philosophy based on ethical seasonal cooking and sourcing of the ingredients from local farms. In this film, we explore how Norbert's philosophy is mirroring Miele’s ethos of performing better with less and achieving quality without compromise with products that last.
Episode 2: Kyle Connaughton
Kyle Connaughton and his wife Katina are dedicated to a circularity in their SingleThread restaurant and the farm that delivers produce for the restaurant. Beyond this, they are invested in creating experiences that give people a better connection with the planet and each other; working relentlessly and constantly improving; and sharing knowledge with the local community. Same as Miele.
Making of sustainable production
Miele is committed to being sustainable in everything they do. If you want to inspire others, you need to lead by example. That's why for this series, we challenged ourselves to produce the content in the most sustainable way possible: from using reusable water bottles and rechargeable batteries, to being paperless and offsetting emissions.
In recognition of sustainable filming practices implemented during the ‘Stories from our only home’ production, Miele was awarded the Green Seal by Environmental Media Association.
